Treatment Philosophy

As a physical therapist specializing in vestibular rehabilitation and balance retraining, my treatment philosophy is deeply rooted in compassion, patience, and whole-body wellness. I recognize that each patient’s journey to improved balance and functional independence is unique, necessitating an individualized and empathetic approach.

Central to my philosophy is the importance of patient and family empowerment through comprehensive education. By providing patients and their families with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to actively participate in their recovery, I aim to foster a sense of autonomy and self-efficacy.

As a physical therapist with extensive experience in various healthcare settings, my specialties encompass Vestibular Rehabilitation and Multifactorial Gait Disorder.
Vestibular Rehabilitation: Serving as a resident vestibular PT specialist in an acute care hospital, I have specialized in treating patients with dizziness and balance disorders. I have provided both direct patient care and staff training to ensure optimal management of vestibular symptoms across the rehabilitation team. I transitioned to the home setting in 2020, bringing outpatient vestibular rehab to my patients, helping them achieve optimal function in the comfort of their own homes.

Education

  • Simmons College, Doctor of Physical Therapy 2004
  • American Institute of Balance, Vestibular Rehab Certification 2017
  • Neuro 360 Vestibular Rehab Certification 2020

Personal

Outside of my fulfilling career as a physical therapist, my life revolves around the joy and love that my family brings. My two spirited and inquisitive boys constantly inspire me with their boundless energy and eagerness to learn, while our 2-year-old goldendoodle serves as a beloved and integral part of our family unit. The warmth and affection that fills our home provide the foundation for a life that is both enriching and deeply rewarding.

Beyond the walls of our home, I find fulfillment in bringing together our community through organizing neighborhood activities that promote love, connection, and inclusion.
